Today visit Golden Temple, also known as Sri Harmandir Sahib or Sri Darbar Sahib! Believed as one of the principal pilgrim spots for Sikhs, the Golden Temple is famous for its full golden dome. The Mandir is built on a 67-ft. square of marble and is a two storey structure. Here you see Akal Takht, the chief centre of religious authority of Sikhism. The Akal Takht is one of five Takhts of the Sikhs. Later, visit Jallianwala Bagh, a historic place and memorial of national importance where British troops fired on a large crowd of unarmed Indians in an open space on 13th April, 1919. If you have free time, go for local shopping! In the afternoon, proceed to Attari-Wagah Border to see the Indo-Pak parade and Lowering of the Flags ceremony. The Lowering of Flags ceremony is a choreographed display of slogan chants, speed marches, high kicks, foot stamping and intimidating facial expressions, performed by the Border Security Force of India and the Pakistan Rangers.
